The truth is that they would LIKE her to be in it, but her movie career is decent right now, so they probably won't get her.Ern and Leeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02222918254913939721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-13850263673006283732010-11-12T23:29:57.402-08:002010-11-12T23:29:57.402-08:00weren't there rumors o a Munsters remake with ...weren't there rumors o a Munsters remake with kristen bell floating around a few weeks ago?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-31408794379644056482010-11-12T13:05:33.618-08:002010-11-12T13:05:33.618-08:00We've actually heard of those shows. We'd tune in for a remake of them, for sure.

Fantasy/horror is the thing most often in need of a remake, because the technology needs to catch up for it to be scary, usually. Somehow that "The Shining" movie still manages to pull it off.Ern and Leeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02222918254913939721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-67364880141854010832010-11-12T12:24:49.870-08:002010-11-12T12:24:49.870-08:00A couple of treasures from the 1990's in the f...A couple of treasures from the 1990's in the fantasy/horror genre: Brimstone and American Gothic.

Brimstone didn't even last a season, but was a wonderfully dark show about a dead cop who makes a deal with the Devil to get into Heaven (I know...but it works somehow). American Gothic had one of the best villians in any television show, past or present, in Sheriff Lucas Buck; truly evil, but you just couldn't get enough of him (sort of like Hannibal Lecter that way).Jim Zadroznyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14818201398811103664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-50360959966482145752010-11-12T06:36:19.766-08:002010-11-12T06:36:19.766-08:00Half the fun of a Buffy remake would be watching a...Half the fun of a Buffy remake would be watching all the purists moan. Few things are untouchable. Buffy has reached CULT classic status, but not classic status. A lot of it is nigh unwatchable, and we are pretty nerdy.

We are impressed with your dedication to watching TV on your computer, haha.Ern and Leeardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02222918254913939721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-16326886631469402842010-11-11T20:28:35.152-08:002010-11-11T20:28:35.152-08:00my "personal lie",oh, a truer typo was n...my "personal lie",oh, a truer typo was never spoke
-hAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-228678769273144852.post-26160543064102879342010-11-11T20:26:11.777-08:002010-11-11T20:26:11.777-08:00great post and I'll happily respond while I wa...great post and I'll happily respond while I wait for community to upload-

a Buffy remake? those are bold words !!! who would dare to suggest an improvement to this legendary cult phenom? can you imagine the searing eyes of the alive and kicking Buffy fandom? yikes. honestly I watched buffy for the first time this year but I remember the heated lunch table debates of my more pop savvy peers in highschool. and i am given to understand buffy lives on in a canon of comics that alone makes a buffy remake aN almost smallville sized endeavor. well maybe that's going too far.... none of which is to say I disagree with your points about cheesiness and tech. or that I wouldn't watch a remake myself. but imagining the fuss a buffy remake would cause makes me smile. am I wrong? I'm not personally familiar with any hardcore buffy fans so i may be wrong.
in any case its amusing to think about and I enjoyed this post at the end of a very long and very strange night (in which, if i may spill my personal lie into this blogosphere, involved a long cold walk on a very dark and empy country road making me thank goodness vamps are just on tv.... and my paying Microsoft an exorbitant amount of money to save me from missing my favorite night of pirated tv, so I hope the community and TVD I'm uploading are worth it!)
anyway thanks for a fun post. I too tired to think of any great remake ideas now but maybe I'll to it eventually....
cheers
-hattsAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
