Detroit 1-8-7 short pilot review

We are just going to give you the bottom line on this show. No snark, no comments, no detailed recap. This is a cop procedural. It’s a lot better than Chase, and we loved the ending of the pilot. But we don’t have time for a show that’s not unique or special or just plain amazing. Some of the shows this blogger watches aren't much YET, but there is definite potential (Raising Hope, Lone Star, The Event). This show is great if you are already interested in watching it. It is also great if you love cop shows and can’t get enough of them. As of now, it is not a must-see, but it’s not bad either. This blogger probably won’t return to the show unless she starts hearing raves about it. The other blogger has yet to watch the episode and may like it. She has a thing for cops.

In the pilot, the main character gets a new partner and investigates a double homicide at a pharmacy. Two more detectives look into a lawyer’s murder. The cases turn out to be connected, and the murderer is a vengeful serial killer. If that sounds good to you, check it out.

Episode Grade: B-
