Breaking Bad, Happy Endings, Breaking In, Love Bites, Switched at Birth, Covert Affairs, Rookie Blue, The Lying Game, So You Think You Can Dance, Suits, Weeds, The Big C, The United States of Tara, South Park, Teen Wolf, True Blood, Dr. Who, The Nine Lives of Chloe King, Wilfred, Alfas, Haven, A Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, White Collar, The Glee Project, Outcasts, 51, and
Psych.
Also, we will have time to catch up on/get into The Chicago Code, The Good Wife, Justified, Sons of Anarchy, Mad Men, Nikita, Castle, Parenthood, The Middle, 30 Rock, Breakout Kings, and Supernatural.
This season of Justified and Parenthood were awesome. You should definitely check them out.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait til Breaking Bad comes back. It's been a long time (although I got into lots of great new/older shows while waiting..)
I'm hoping The Lying Game is as good as Pretty Little Liars.
I'll be watching Breaking Bad, Breaking In, The Big C, United States of Tara, Game of Thrones, Pretty Little Liars, White Collar, The Glee Project (finally Glee is starting to get better since these last couple of episodes..ever since the guest stars disappeared) and Men of a Certain Age.
Things I might/will check out: The Lying Game, Love Bites (hope its good - looks good in the previews), The Nine Lives of Chloe King (don't like the title but it looks somewhat good), Mad Men, Falling Skies, The Vampire Diaries (the high scores you have been giving the show makes me want to watch it :) ) and maybe Weeds. I'll check out any other show that gets a 66 or higher on metacritic.
I hate catching up to shows with 4-5 seasons or 2 seasons with 20-24 episodes each season:(...but I feel I must watch them. :)
(Btw, I'm a guy and enjoy some of the shows that are considered to be for "girls" or "girly" such as Pretty Little Liars) :)
You definitely have to watch The Vampire Diaries. We applaud your willingness to watch Pretty Little Liars. We are both girls, but one of us usually hates girly shows. These shows are the exception.
ReplyDeleteWe keep telling guys that PLL is a murder mystery and The Vampire Diaries has great pacing after the first four episodes or so. Give it past the pilot at least.
Can't wait for Justified and Breaking Bad.
Yeah, I agree. Pretty Little Liars isn't really girly at all. The only thing "girly" about it is that it has girls in it (pretty girls.)...but that doesn't really count. I enjoy seeing girls as the lead characters (United States of Tara, The Big C, Pretty Little Liars, etc) Makes it have a different feel to it then with guys.
ReplyDeleteI think Showtime has been doing a good job of adding shows with woman as the lead.
I also watch The Secret Life of the American Teenager...but I find that show to be dumb. (it's somehow addicting though...lol)
ReplyDeleteI watch it online as Chuck starts at the same time as The Secret Life.
One of us looooooves Secret Life - even though it's a horrible show on so, so many levels (acting, writing, plot, etc). She definitely agrees though, it's completely addicting.
ReplyDeleteShowtime is THE channel for troubled female leads, particularly housewives. Love it. As long as the female leads are as interesting and substantial as male leads, they are just as good. Unfortunately, many shows write their women as stereotypes or shells of what should be well-rounded characters.
ReplyDeleteOne of us would never watch Secret Life...even if it were the only thing on TV and everyone else watched it. Granted, she's only seen one episode, but the acting alone was too horrifying to justify watching enough to get addicted.
DEXTER!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't gotten into Dexter i think you should
-K
We both enjoy Dexter, but it usually starts in September, right?
ReplyDeleteYep...usually around August or September.
ReplyDeleteOne show I won't try catching up on is Supernatural because it has way too many seasons/episodes for me to bother. (6 seasons with 16-20+ episodes is a lot for me :S)
We haven't seen a second of Supernatural, but too many people have been telling us to get into it, so at least one of us is going to find the time.
ReplyDeleteThe Chicago Code and Lie to Me have been canceled... :(
ReplyDeleteOh well...I guess we can hope for new better shows to come and stay :)
Breaking In was cancelled, too. One of us is heartbroken that The Chicago Code was canned, but also unsurprised.
