Pretty Little Liars renewed for a third season...plus a taste of what's to come

Pretty Little Liars has been renewed for a third season, consisting of 24 episodes. The second half of season two starts on January 2nd, and an official description gave us the following info:

  • The story will pick up one month from the events in the summer finale (there's a one-month time jump since the four girls were arrested)
  • Emily "has been iced out completely"
  • The girls are no longer "the mighty four best friends" and they are at each other's throats
  • "A lot has changed in Rosewood"
Hmmm
And yayyy!

  1. Yayyyy!!! I <3 PLL!

And wow, A has really been picking on Emily this season. I wonder what happened to make the girls freeze Emily out? I'm excited to see what will happen now that the girls aren't so close anymore.

    Can't wait until Jan. 2nd!!!

  2. One of us was wondering if it was something that happened in the finale. It didn't seem like she did anything though...

  3. Maybe just that it was her who followed A's instructions and went to the shed where they found the shovel? The girls might be so angry that they'd be willing to blame anyone. I think it's more likely that it happened in the month before the show starts up again, though.

  4. Let's hope so. We HATE when people on TV are angry for no reason.

  6. The friendship angle is the heart of the show. That and shirtless Toby.

  8. Look at this website: http://www.tvline.com/2011/11/ask-ausiello-spoilers-gossip-girl-greys-anatomy-pretty-little-liars-glee/

    It says:
Question: Can I please get some scoop on Pretty Little Liars? —Sal
Ausiello: TVLine’s Vlada Gelman screened the show’s Jan. 2 winter premiere and filed this spoiler-laced report —complete with bullet points!
    • Someone’s moving back to Rosewood, and that means major trouble for one of the four girls.
    • The girls get dangerously close to ‘A’ — like, close enough to touch their tormentor — and acquire some valuable leverage in the process.
    • ‘A’ underestimated Emily. Look for the so-called weak link to find her backbone, big time.
    • It’s “coming out” day for Aria and Ezra! But just because they’re going public to her parents doesn’t mean things are going to get any easier for the couple.

  9. Curse our exams which allowed us to miss the latest Tvline scoop. We've loved Ausiello since EW. Thanks for the comment, because we wouldn't have wanted to miss that news.

The last two things are incredibly exciting!!!!!!!!!
