Mona-Mania- Sorry this is a day late. One of us had something to do during the usual blogging time. But better late than never, we always say. We found out whose bike was busted last week: the captain of the Academic Decathlon. That's one way to unseat a club leader, Mona.
Lucas finally coughs up the nature of his involvement with Mona and the A-Team. He's being blackmailed for selling answers to tests? Wow, we would come clean before we would do stuff for Mona. He was delivering messages from Jason to her back when she was in Radley. And, shocker, LUCAS almost blew up Meredith. Hanna has definitely set Mona off again, but that's Hanna. She's not going to pretend to be someone's friend. She's going to tell them to their face to get bent.
We didn't expect Aria and Meredith to team up, but we like it. Paige has PTSD. Take your ceiling fan down, Emily. We hope that Spencer bounces back from her loss quickly. It's just a club and she's still brilliant. The problem with basing your whole identity on being smart is that there is always going to be someone smarter than you.
This was one of the least exciting episodes of this show, ever. Unless it turns out that Byron killed Ali, which we highly doubt, it was just a red herring parade. The sole redeeming scenes were a) Hanna telling Mona off and b) Mona and Spencer duking it out. A nerd-off! We knew Mona would win. Spencer is a genius. Mona is such a genius it drove her mad. We look forward to next week.
Who still looks that good when they have the flu? Ugh, we hate this channel, haha.
Episode grade: B-
I thought this was a good episode. It was nice to finally know just how deep Lucas is/was with Mona. Does he even know the full extent of what Mona/the A team has done? Or why they're doing it? It just keeps getting deeper & deeper. Next weeks episode looks really good. Can't wait for Spencer to find out about Toby. But I really feel they might be leading us on with that promo. I can't see them letting her find out about Toby this early in the season. Guess we shall see...
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't think Lucas knows the full extent. I don't even think he knows there are more people on the team than Mona. He doesn't know about Toby, since he assumed Mona was driving the car.
DeleteI've always thought Byron was creepy. I believed Lucas, but you might be right. Nice blog
ReplyDeleteI've been multitasking while watching PLL this past season that I sort of went like "All these happend? When?!" when watching the "Previously on.." clips haha I guess I got a little bored of PLL already. It still seems good but eh...They should make PLL a mini series full series like American Horror Story..might be fun that way or something lol
ReplyDeleteHaha, yeah, it can drag on sometimes. The trick is to focus on the characters and little moments, not the overall mystery
