We're working on getting caught up before all the big finales...

But there is no way we are watching the backdoor pilot for The Originals. That sounds like worse torture than what Elena went through last week.

Nope. We couldn't care less about that family anymore.

    It's actually good. I'm not sure if I'd like it as a series. It would have been better as a one season thing. Also, I would have rather they pick up something new. 2 Vampire Shows on the same network is too much...and it's a spin-off. Several critics seemed to like the pilot as well.

    Lol you can skip that episode and the whole series when it airs in the fall. And that's coming from an obsessed fan like me. It was torture.

    My happy and sad list for renewal/cancellation so far:
    Happy:
    - Defiance (Numbers were dropping and they didn't seem good for a high budget/concept show. You've done good Sci..I mean SyFy)
    - Orphan Black (I wasn't sure what would be considered a success for BBC America since they are new in original scripted series)
    - Nikita (This could have gotten cancelled but renewal was sort of expected)
    - Parenthood (It was guaranteed renewal but could have ended up being cancelled.)
    - Parks & Recreation (Same as above)
    - The Carrie Diaries (Surprise renewal of the season. Fun light show..need more of that.)

    Waiting:
    - Community (Even though I did not like much of this season, there was some improvement in later episodes and a final season would be nice.)
    - Hannibal
    - ABC shows

    Sad:
    - Go On
    - Southland (Last episode was a good series ender but it could have gotten another season to have a final season feel.)

      I'm kind of mad Carrie Diaries got renewed because I feel like now I have to watch it. PARENTHOOD YAYY.

      Community was renewed!

      Not sad about Go On. Devastated about Southland.

      I have not watched Sex and the City but have heard from some fans that they liked Carrie Diaries. Also, some people who did not like Sex and the City liked The Carrie Diaries more. You should give it a try if you like stuff like Parenthood and Switched at Birth. It's a great show, imo. :)

      Add Happy Endings to that sad list. :( RENEW IT USA!

      NBC needs to renew Hannibal. It's too good!

      Having seen a little of CD and all of S+tC, I think the reason what you say is true is that Carrie Diaries is just nothing like S+tC at all. They change nearly everything about the character, for one thing. And the shows are just very different. Carrie is a teenage rom-com. S+tC is raunchy, comedic social commentary with a few love stories (and a few not so love stories).

      I think in order to enjoy Carrie Diaries, I need to completely forget it's supposed to be the same character and enjoy it like S+tC never existed.

      Go and watch it, all the seasons are on Netflix and the new one will be released on May 26th.

      And when you watch it give it at least ten episodes because it takes some time before you realize why this is one of the best shows ever.
