So You've Never Seen Arrested Development?

Why you should watch it: Because it's a hilarious, brilliant comedy classic with 15 new episodes available on Netflix this Sunday. It's hard to get into the humor, but once you do, your sides are going to hurt. Some people find it difficult to follow the legal and business aspects of the plot, but we don't think you really need to follow those perfectly to enjoy the show and the humor anyway. Just stay with it. If subtitles don't annoy you, those might help you catch the jokes that zing by. The dialogue is genius, and the show has great guest stars, like Liza Minelli, Charlize Theron, Amy Poehler, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Christine Taylor, Ben Stiller, and Zach Braff.

What are the best episodes and characters?

Best episodes: The pilot, Top Banana, In God We Trust, Pier Pressure, Missing Kitty, Best Man for the Gob, Afternoon Delight, Out on a Limb, Hand to God, Motherboy XXX,  The Immaculate Election, Righteous Brothers, Notapusy, The Ocean Walker, Making a Stand, SOBs, Development Arrested

Rating the characters:

Gob Bluth- 10/10 stars. The oldest Bluth son steals the show with his arrogance, ridiculous speaking manner, dramatic gestures, incompetence, and selfishness. If you don't laugh when he does his magic shows to the tune of "The Final Countdown," we will never understand you. Will Arnett is never going to top this, so he should just stop trying (sorry, Will).

Lindsay Bluth Funke- 7/10 stars. The only Bluth daughter. She's not the funniest Bluth sibling, but Portia DeRossi does a great job giving her charisma and keeping her from ever being annoying. Her activism and bad parenting are always worth a chuckle, and we like when she's an ally to Michael.

Michael Bluth- 9/10 stars. The Bluth son who runs the family company. It's hard to be the straight man, but Jason Bateman's Michael is likable while also being self-righteous, a mean feat. Michael's deadpan or unbelieving reactions to his family's antics are often as funny as the antics themselves. His character grounds the show and gives you someone to root for.

George Michael Bluth- 6/10 stars. Michael's son. Michael Cera is good in his first role, but bumbling Mr. Goody Two Shoes just isn't our favorite. He's in love with his cousin though, so everything along that vein is fantastic.

George Bluth Sr.- 4/10 stars. The Bluth patriarch who goes to prison. We just don't get it. He's a little obnoxious and only sporadically funny. We prefer his brother Oscar, because at least he's high all the time.

Lucille Bluth- 9/10 stars. The Bluth matriarch. Lucille is the villain of the series. Everyone knows an old woman who is just a little bit like her. She's one of the worst mothers of all time, but she always brings in the sick laughs.

Tobias Funke- 9/10 stars. Tobias is Lindsay's husband who hasn't yet figured out that he's gay, but his Freudian slips leave no one else doubting. Tobias starts out annoying and not as funny as, say, Gob. But, in later seasons, he becomes a highlight. When he becomes a version of Mrs. Doubtfire or joins The Blue Man Group, he's at his best.

Maeby Funke- 7/10 stars. Tobias and Lindsay's teenage daughter. She's a little funnier than George Michael, and we admire her intelligence. She's cute as a button. She's one of the more likable Bluths, as a person, and she's the only one who might have a truly bright future when she gets out of that family.

Ann Veal- 9/10 stars. George Michael's "dull," plain, and very religious girlfriend. It's mostly Michael's reactions to her that make her a great character. Michael thinks his son can do better.

Steve Holt- 2/10 stars. Maeby's crush for a short time. A swing and a miss. We didn't laugh at him once.

Kitty Sanchez- 3/10 stars. Judy Greer is talented and funny, but her part here is a little too crazy and obsessed with her own boobs.

Buster Bluth- 10/10 stars. The youngest Bluth boy. This is another character who starts off as a little dumb, but in the second season, this Momma's boy brings more laughs than just about anyone else. His relationship with his mother is codependent, creepy, and completely genius.

Lucille Austero- 2/10 stars. She aggravated us. Liza was a good sport and did a great job though.
