Leeard's Picks for the Third Round of the TWoP Tubey Awards

Best Cast - Community. It was painful picking between that and Game of Thrones, but I would legitimately spend the rest of my life hanging out with the cast of Community if I could, so they win.
Best "Hell Yeah" Moment - Castle and Beckett finally kiss for real, Castle. I didn't want to pick this (because I've been trying to not spoil Castle for Ern), but I couldn't bring myself to pick anything else. Such an awesome moment.
Best Pop Culture Reference - Cougarton Abbey title card, Cougar Town. The melding of two of my favorite comedies? Yes.
Best Unexpected Plot Twist - Renly is killed, Game of Thrones.
Guiltiest TV Pleasure - Secret Life of the American Teenager. All day, every day.
Neverending Subplot That Most Needs to Be Resolved - Who is the mother, How I Met Your Mother. Seriously.
Most Redemptive Character in a Sucky Show - Santana, Glee.
Best Reality TV Moment - Melanie wins, So You Think You Can Dance. Love that girl.
Best Single Episode (Drama) - "Always", Castle. Always.
Best Single Episode (Comedy) - Remedial Chaos Theory, Community.
Best Romantic Relationship - Brad and Jane, Happy Endings. I want a marriage like theirs.
Worst Romantic Relationship - Brennan and Booth, Bones. Until they actually got together, it was the thing I wanted most on tv. Now? Not so much. Robb and Talisa from Game of Thrones are a close second, because no one is good enough for Robb.
Best HoYay! Couple - Troy and Abed, Community.
Best Single Line of Dialogue - "I just want someone who wants to hang out all the time, thinks I'm the best person in the world, and wants to have sex with only me." Hannah, Girls. #gpoy
Best "WTF" Moment - The Reaper turns out to have been Sally all along, Being Human.
Worst "WTF" Moment - Brennan ditches Booth, runs off with their newborn baby because she's being framed for murder, Bones. Ugh.
Least Favorite Actor - Damian McGinty, Glee.
Least Favorite Actress - Hillary Burton, White Collar.
Most Deserved Cancellation of the 2011-12 Season - Work It.
Favorite Show to Hate Watch - Jersey Shore.
Reality TV Star Most Deserving of a Spin-off - Catelynn and Tyler, Teen Mom.
Best Imported Show on US TV - Degrassi.
Actor From a Cancelled 2011-12 Show Most Deserving of a New Show - Adam Baldwin, Chuck.
Favorite Showrunner - Dan Harmon, Community. Miss you.
Best Villain - Emily Thorne, Revenge.
Least Villainous Villain - Ellis, Smash. Ugh. So glad he won't be on the next season.
Most Egregiously Offensive Reality Show - Toddlers & Tiaras.

  1. Uhhg....Most of these are hard to choose. (which is almost all of them)
Best Cast: Community (Others: Happy Ending, Cougar Town, Chuck, New Girl, Parenthood. I chose these because I would like to hang around with these groups.)
Best Hell Yeah Moment: My pick would have been Walter White/Tio Salamanca blowing up Gus.
Best Pop Culture References: Journey to the Center of Hawkthorne 8-Bit Game (Community)
Best Unexpected Plot Twist: Nucky kills Jimmy (Boardwalk Empire) (I was not expecting this at all..)
Guiltiest TV Pleasure: Revenge (Quality stuff, though)
Neverending Subplot That Most Needs to Be Resolved - Who is the mother, How I Met Your Mother.
Most Redemptive Character in a Sucky Show: Stephen Holder (The Killing)
Best Single Episode from a Drama: Anything from Breaking Bad, Homeland, Game of Thrones, The Vampire Diaries, Nikita, Person of Interest...uhhg don't make choose
Best Single Episode from a Comedy: Community, Cougar Town, Raising Hope, Louie, Parks & Recreation..blah blah blah
Joel and Julia Graham (Parenthood) (Even though I don't get to see them do much else...but I love seeing their relationship with each other. I'd also pick Brad and Jane for Happy Endings)
Worst Romantic Relationship: Finn and Rachel (Glee)
Best HoYay! Couple - Troy and Abed, Community.
Best "WTF" Moment: Gus walks away from the explosion with half his face blown off, and straightens his tie before dying (Breaking Bad)
Worst "WTF" Moment: Will Schuester suddenly doesn't know Spanish despite teaching it for years (Glee)
Least Favorite Actor: Damian McGinty, Glee
Least Favorite Actress: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Ringer) (In that show)
Most Deserved Cancellation of the 2011-12 Season: Terra Nova
Favorite Show to Hate Watch: Glee
Best Imported Show on US TV: Doctor Who (Luther, Sherlock, Downton Abbey)
Favorite Showrunner: Dan Harmon, Community.(Also,Vince Gilligan)
Actor From a Cancelled 2011-12 Series Most Deserving of a New Show: Jason Isaacs (Awake)
Best Villain: Amon (The Legend of Korra)
    Least Villainous Villain: Ellis, Smash
Most Egregiously Offensive Reality Show - Toddlers & Tiaras.

    1. I got lazy to go through the best single line of dialogue. haha That thing is too to much look over. That list proves how much good TV is today :D

    2. The Best Single Line of Dialogue category was really hard, especially with all of the quality Game of Thrones options. I've posted various pictures/gifs of Hannah's quote on my tumblr though, because seriously: it's me. I couldn't bring myself to pick anything else.

Definitely right about how much good TV is right now :)

  3. I agree with many of the choices already listed, and as there were often many tough choices I sometimes went with different options purely for the sake of variety

    Best Cast - Sherlock
Best "Hell Yeah" Moment - Tyrion rallying the troops and leading them into battle (Game of Thrones)
Best Pop Culture Reference - The Shining plot (Psych). I probably prefer the Community episodes a little more though.
Best Unexpected Plot Twist - Moriarty pretends to be Richard Brook (Sherlock)
Guiltiest TV Pleasure - The Lying Game. Honestly I'd prefer not to watch it, but each week there I was, finding myself in front of the TV again.
Neverending Subplot That Most Needs to Be Resolved - When will the Scranton office shut down for good (The Office). (Obviously How I Met Your Mother is the real choice for this option)
Most Redemptive Character in a Sucky Show - Faye (The Secret Circle). Not that it was a sucky show, but at the same time it was also one that didn't draw me in.
Best Single Episode (Drama) - "The Reichenbach Fall" (Sherlock)
Best Single Episode (Comedy) - "The Butterfly Effect Effect" (Happy Endings). I don't really pay attention to episode titles, but looking it up this was the one with bear Max.
Best Romantic Relationship - Peter and Elisabeth Burke (White Collar). There were a few good contenders, but in the end I prefer relationships that last, and where the partners are comfortable with each other and still make efforts together.
Worst Romantic Relationship - Since I wouldn't call Joffrey and Sansa romantic it would be either Ryan and Kelly (The Office) or Aria and Ezra (Pretty Little Liars). After refreshing my memory with this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKkbMBy_WMs), definitely Ryan and Kelly.
Best HoYay! Couple - Apart from Troy and Abed, Community, I'd give honourable mentions to Bo and Kensi (Lost Girl) and Myka and H.G. Wells (Warehouse 13)
Best Single Line of Dialogue - "Dear diary, a chipmunk asked me my name today. I told him it was Joe. That lie will haunt me forever." - Damon (The Vampire Diaires)
Best "WTF" Moment - Idris is the TARDIS (Doctor Who)
Worst "WTF" Moment - Deb thinks she's in love with brother Dexter (Dexter). Was going to be Amanda is pregnant with Jack's baby (Revenge) until I saw this option
Least Favorite Actor - Ed Helms (The Office)
Least Favorite Actress - Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead). Nearly entirely due to the way she pronounces Carl (since mine is also Karl). I get that the American accent is a factor in the pronounciation, but when other actors on the same show say it it doesn't phase me, just the way she says it. The way she says it sounds more like coral or carol to me and it bugs me every time.
Most Deserved Cancellation of the 2011-12 Season - Ringer
Favorite Show to Hate Watch - 2 Broke Girls
Best Imported Show on US TV - Sherlock. Also Doctor Who
Actor From a Cancelled 2011-12 Show Most Deserving of a New Show - Adam Baldwin, Chuck.
Favorite Showrunner - Dan Harmon, Community. From the sounds of it he was one of the key reasons why the show worked, so I'm not sure what to expect from upcoming seasons.
Best Villain - James Moriarty (Sherlock). It may not seem that way but I've been trying to restrict how many times I've chosen Sherlock, but it just hit so many notes right with me, and since it started the TV year off on a high note that I can't seem to help myself. If I couldn't choose it then Mr. Gold (Once Upon a Time)
Least Villainous Villain - No I'm forcing myself not to do it this time as well *cough* Irene Adler (Sherlock) *cough*, so Stannis Baratheon (Game of Thrones)

    1. Haha a lot of those alternatives were my second choices (except Sherlock, because I haven't seen it yet).

    2. I hope when you do that I haven't built up your expectations too high. I still think it's a great show, but really only thought that from season 2 which has a few particularly good episodes.

    3. Now when I see your comments, I'm going to say your name (Karl) in my head in what I think qualifies as an Australian accent. I'm soooo bad at those.

And don't worry, we know how to keep expectations level and enjoy shows for the good bits.

    4. I really don't have a problem with the American accent itself, just how some tend to stretch out the name to include an extra syllable, though plenty say it quite reasonably. Not quite the clip I was looking for, but Aussie comedian Carl Barron has also addressed it:
