Sad Day

We're dropping Community. It's not what it was.

  1. These last two episodes gave me hope. So...I'm sticking with it.

I dropped Glee a while back. (Though, I might return to that sometime.)

    1. Glee we watch for the music and dancing, not the show itself. It's worse than Community for sure. Let us know if there is ever a brilliant episode of Community that we have to catch...we will of course check in for the finale.

    2. Great news: Cougar Town was renewed.

While Community is not as good as previous seasons, there are stills LOTs of great comedies out there.

  2. Pretty Little Liars was renewed for a fifth season. I'm hoping it's the last. It's too much beyond that imo. These two seasons should act like the final two.

    1. That would be good, but you know as long as there is a grudge or a member of the town alive who can send texts, they can keep it going

  3. The new show runners don't understand the originality of Community and moreso that Dan Harmon (spelling?) tells stories in a cynical and sarcastic way.

I can see that they are trying really hard to match the previous seasons, but it is simply just not getting the words correct in the script.

The Halloween episode had so much potential but the poor script just let it down, and the time wasted on Britta and Troy is kinda creepy, or is that just me.

I am sticking with it since there aren't many episodes to go, and here is hoping the Chang story will pay off. However I completely I understand because I sigh deeply when I turn it on. And it was only last year when I said to my hubby that 30 Rock sucked compared to Community, oh how the times have changed....

    1. The sad thing is, the writers are probably funny, talented people with voices of their own. Instead of trying to duplicate what was done flawlessly, they needed to take the show in a new direction. They are too scared to change anything, but a funny show that's true to the characters and finds its own jokes is better than a second-rate version of episodes we've already seen.

I kind of like Britta and Troy. A lot better than Jeff and Annie.
