Last night, it finally happened. The thing that made one of us stop reading the books for about a year. Shocking, eh? We've been waiting to see if viewers of TV show would react similarly, and they have. They are devastated. Rest assured though, the series got much better after the twist. This is one of many in the season. This show will go anywhere and do anything. It can really surprise you. And the boring parts are over.
For those of you who haven't seen it, there are only going to be ten episodes in the first season, and the season finale is next week. It would be easy to catch up before season two. Book three is incredible, so we really want this to get renewed one more time.

I wasn't totally shocked as I have heard from others that yoiu cannot get attached to anyone in this series. The death rate of significant characters is high which definitly takes some getting used to. Still, I love this series.
ReplyDeleteIt's as gritty as hell, and pulls no punches. Basically, it strips away all the normal cliches of a fantasy setting, and presents us a grim world chalk full of every deadly sin. Dante would be proud.
Can't wait for the finale.
We can't wait for season two. Also, we don't approve of the people who would tell you that important people die. It lessens the grit :(
