The entertainment blog that started because of two out-of-control television addictions. We might as well do something with it.

New weekly covered shows
Due to us deciding to binge Vegas after season one is finished and us dropping The New Normal, we have added Modern Family, How I Met Your Mother, and The Office to our weekly shows. Modern Family is never going away (see: Emmy wins even in its worst season), How I Met Your Mother is popular and requested on this blog, and The Office premiere was pretty good. Plus, it's the last season and the old showrunner is back, promising to earn viewers' attention again. We'll give them a chance.

Comedy side: I'm enjoying Go On, Animal Practice (2nd episode is better than 1st..I was hoping this show would be good and it seems that it will), Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project...so yay :D (Though, that means more hours to my long schedule =S but oh well...Good stuff is good stuff.)
ReplyDeleteVegas was a bit boring but looked good..I can see it improving just like Person of Interest did.
I'm enjoying having Giancarlo Esposito on Revolution. He's good...really good. :D
Once The Office and 30 Rock are over and assuming Community has a chance of renewal for a new season...would probably mean a schedule like this: Animal Practice @8:00, Community@8:30, Parks & Recreation @9:00 and The New Normal @9:30 (Bah Parks & Recreation without The Office would seem weird)...doesn't seem too bad.
DeleteDue to our new rule of how much TV we can watch per week, we can't watch Animal Practice, Ben and Kate, Go On, or Neighbors regularly until we drop something. However, this doesn't apply during summer hiatuses.
DeleteJust watched The Neighbors. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be...it's mostly a family comedy and I think I might give it a couple of episodes
DeleteLast Resort is by far the best new broadcast show this season. It is MUST see TV. It is "Turn off your cell phone and avoid all other distractions and prepare to be entertained throughout the episode TV." It is TV that gets are asses glued to the chairs and eyes magnetized on the screen. It is a TV show that will grow in viewers similar to Person of Interest through word of mouth. I believe it will happen..I know it will happen. It must happen...The acting is award winning and very cable like. The writing is really good. It's highly entertaining in an intelligent way and could appeal to a lot of people. This and Homeland are the best NEW shows and one of the best TV shows TV has to offer. I know this is the first episode but man...the pilot was really good. (at least IMO...) I want more! Bring on the next episode(s).
ReplyDeleteOh, we are definitely watching that.
