Revenge- season 2, episode 10

Power- This episode more resembled the season one revenge plots. It had a nice, tight story arc with none of the confusion of the first half of this season. This episode worked for us because of the judge's wife. That was a good story, we loved her bravery at the end, and we were touched when Amanda thanked her for writing a letter that gave her hope during hard times. Everything with Amanda, Aidan, Daniel, and the Graysons was gold this week. We loved the fake-up Amanda staged with Aidan in front of Daniel. We love that Amanda is trying to get Daniel into a fake relationship again and that she kissed him. Of course, she will develop feelings for Daniel...again...and a real triangle can emerge. We're girls. We love a good triangle.

Helen shows up to meet Daniel and tell Aidan that his sister is still alive. It looks like the show is setting Aidan up to betray Amanda for his sister, again. We're upset about all this because we only gave this show a season pass because Aidan is hot.

Sigh. The Jack/Declan story was pretty good, but we still don't care about them. It looks like things are going to get even more complicated, so this little family is going to get even more screen time and attention. They are almost completely detached from Amanda's revenge plot at this point, and they need to be reigned back into the main show. It's like they are spinning off into their own adventures right now. Still, Charlotte isn't annoying anymore, so that's good.

It was so stupid of Jack to take the fall for Declan. Of course he would, since he's Jack and can do no wrong, ever. But he's the one with the baby, ownership of the bar, guardianship of Declan, and he's over 18. The damage would have potentially been lessened if Declan had been arrested. Jack is a moron. A sweet, boring moron. Who is that guy playing Marco related to that he got this job? He's such a bad actor. This midseason premiere was better than we expected it to be. Low bar though.

Episode grade: B

  1. I thought this was an ok episode. Not great, but not bad either. Are Jack/Declan ever going to get a break? I'm getting really sick of all this bad stuff happening to them...
