This week on
Modern Family, all three family units braved a short earthquake. Mitchell and Cam tried to get out of Nathan Lane’s party, and they succeeded. (Cam is a TOTAL mob wife). Gloria wanted Jay to go to church, but he was done with it and wanted to golf instead. Manny ended up going with Jay, but he regretted it when his fear of hell returned to him. Jay dropped Manny off at church and went back to play golf. The earthquake left Claire trapped in a bathroom with a plumber who gave her advice on handling Haley. It also gave Phil time to pretend he had secured the living room cabinet to the wall BEFORE the earthquake. He also convinced Luke not to tell his mother it almost fell on him. We are huge fans of Alex, who is trying to get her sister to study for the SATs. She’s so smart and cute. She actually said, “You’re never alone when you have books.” So true, Alex.
This was a solid, funny, and cute episode. Not Modern Family’s best but still good.
Episode grade: B
This episode was AWESOME. I love Nathan Lane. Have y'all seen The Birdcage? Classic.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment was when Mitch 'confessed' that Cam still had feelings for Pepper (that was his name, right?) and smashed Cam's tacky frog statue on the ground. Perfect Modern Family moment. Also when Luke said, "I got scared because the cabinet didn't fall on me."
We liked it better than last week. We actually wanted the frog statue. That thing was cute in a tacky way.
