Parenthood- Everything is Not Okay

The short post is due to dumb computer malfunctions.

We forgot Max had a friend! We love that. Of course, he ruined it with a fit about some vending machine. Is it alright to start hating him? It’s not, is it? Gypsy from Gilmore Girls played Gwen Chambers. We liked her character. Christina needs a friend who has been through this. Young cops can be lame, but you can’t be too nuts over a Zeke plotline where he literally renews his driver’s license. The pride on that guy…seriously. How cute is baby Nora? We like that Ray Romano shot the wedding, but we don’t want him with Sarah. It feels like it’s coming, but we hate it. Did anyone else cry a little? It doesn’t seem like Christina’s cancer is that serious, but if she dies, we’ll cry even more. We like the use of Amber, but where were Joel, Victor, and Julia?

Episode grade: B

  1. I'm the crier from last week and I cried, again. I started watching this for Lauren Graham. But Sarah is not as awesome as Lorelai. And another thing that bugs me about this show, almost everyone during a scene talks at the same time.

    1. Same here. Just miss Lorelai. And I think everyone is starting to get annoyed with all the talking.

  2. Another good episode. I too am starting to really not like Max & I feel a little bad about that, but he's just so annoying! I hate how he sabotages everything good in his life. Zeke storyline was ehh. I kinda liked how Adam got grumpy with Amber, but at the same time, it made me really mad @ him. I also missed Joel, Julia & Victor.

Oh, P.s. - I caught a couple new comedies that you guys should check out. "Animal Practice" on NBC. It's got one of my favs, Joanna Garcia-Swisher, in it. And "The Neighbors" on ABC. Both shows are pretty hilarious & not super raunchy

    1. Due to our new rule of how much TV we can watch per week, we can't watch Animal Practice, Ben and Kate, Go On, or Neighbors regularly until we drop something. However, this doesn't apply during summer hiatuses.

Animal Practice does have a good cast though.

    2. I'm starting to hate Max as well..and it's a little annoying Max doesn't stare at people.

    3. Well, that's kind of realistic. Asperger's people don't do eye contact, for the most part.

  3. Then you might want to drop a show b/c The Neighbors is so funny!

    1. We've heard people say it's not funny....but you're usually trustworthy. Ugh, ANGST. Stupid adult responsibilities ruining our TV lives. HIMYM is the worst comedy we watch right now...and Last Resort might be bad, leaving room for TWO comedies.

    2. It's not as horrible as people are saying it is...It's 7/10 watchable.

Honestly, I think I love this Fall seasons broadcast line-up than last falls...even though, last fall had a lot of unexpected good shows. ABC has Nashville, Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. (Last Fall: Once Upon a Time, Revenge. Still need to check out Suburgatory) NBC has Animal Practice, Go On, and Revolution. (Last fall: Grimm. Did not check out Prime Suspect. Up All Night was boring to me) CBS has Vegas (Last fall: Person of Interest). CW has Arrow (Last fall: Ringer. Did not check out The Secret Circle.) Fox has The Mindy Project and Ben & Kate. (Last fall: New Girl. Terra Nova was alright but also mostly bad.) I think it's a step up, though. :D

    3. Forgot about Pan Am. Add that as well.

    4. None of the cable networks have anything new that is interesting as far as I know..except Cinemax with Hunted but I think that's about it?

    5. That's it as far as we know. And yeah, this fall is way better so far.

  4. Maybe I'm just easily entertained :)
