30 Rock season premiere quick take

There were some nice topical digs in this episode. We loved the one about James Cameron. Matt Damon guest starred as Liz Lemon’s new boyfriend. Liz and Jack were both advising each other as to tactics to keep their lovers from worming in too close. They were also trying to destroy each other’s efforts. We love that pair. Jack said, “Would you rather let your boyfriend into your life or teach your cat to dial 911.” There were plenty of “would you rathers” in this episode.

This episode was right on par for 30 Rock. It didn’t have us rolling in the aisles or howling with laughter, but we were entertained.

Oh, and would you rather be with the person you love, but have to wear a shirt made out of their pubes, or be alone forever and wear what you want? Tell us in the comments. (We would rather be alone, quite frankly.) If you are a fan of the show, keep watching, because it looks good this year.
